Meet Our Team

President

Zac Greenier, President and founder of the Standby to Fly Initiative resides in Hampden, Maine. Zac is married to his high school sweetheart, Jen, and they have two beautiful girls. He attended medical school at Yale University School of Medicine and practices internal medicine at a local community hospital as a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C). You will find them most weekends at their family camp, relaxing and playing on the water, in Northern Maine.

He began competing in United States Practical Shooting (USPSA) in 2016 and transitioned to open division in 2018. He quickly set his sights on competing at a national level and began traveling for major matches and taking training very seriously.  He started the Trident Armory Shooting Team in 2018 and is currently a Master Open division competitor.

One of his favorite matches he competed in was a benefit match for Veterans in New Hampshire. In 2019, Chris and Zac were unable to make it to that match, and they set a goal to host their own benefit match at Hampden Rifle and Pistol Club for the Windy Warrior Project. This match became known as the Trident Armory Standby to Fly Benefit Match. The match has continued to grow year after year, and has now become a destination match for competitors across the country!

Since 2019, we have donated over $350,000 to Maine-based non-profits serving Veterans. We have had the privilege to work with House in the Woods, Maine Veterans Project, The Summit Project, K9s on the Frontline, Guitars for Vets, Travis Mills Foundation, Boots2Roots, and several others. In 2022, the Standby to Fly Initiative was formed as a Maine-based 501c3 non-profit. Our dedication to honor and serve the men, women, and families of the armed forces will continue to carry us forward to many successful years ahead.

We look forward to working with you!

Vice President

Originally from Houlton, ME, Chris had no firearms experience prior to being introduced shooting in 2018. As it turns out, that was a slippery slope and Chris dove right in. Chris joined the Trident Armory Shooting Team later that same year.

In 2019, Zac and Chris organized the first Standby to Fly Benefit Match. Little did they know that throwing that one benefit match would grow in to one of the top matches in the Country! To date, this match and fundraising efforts have raised about $250,000 to give back to organizations who do a top-notch job helping our Veterans.

Chris’ favorite thing in the world is spending time with his wife Heidi and their kids Cam and Ella. He is extremely proud of his amazing kids, who you will likely meet at our local matches. It’s a rare occasion to find Chris at the range without Cam. Whether it’s traveling, watching the kids’ events, or the simple day-to-day routine, that’s what makes Chris’ day.

That and bickering with Zac.

Professionally, Chris is a commercial insurance agent at FA Peabody Insurance Agency.  Whether on the range, at work, or out in the community, we always look forward to meeting our supporters so come say hello.

Treasurer

Corey Smith is one of the owners of Trident Armory as well as a board member and treasurer for the Standby to Fly Initiative.

Corey joined Trident Armory in 2014 when they moved to their current location in Hermon and currently manages the everyday operations of the business.

Though not an official member of the shooting team, Corey is a Range Officer and has been an RO at all of the Standby to Fly matches.

His favorite part of being involved with Standby to Fly is the sense of community that comes from volunteerism.  'It's a incredibly humbling, and inspirational, to see the growth of SBTFI, and to see the potential to help improve and change Veterans' lives for the better by helping support other Non-Profit organizations.

When not working at the store, Corey enjoys time home with his wife Samantha as well as time outdoors with friends and family.

Steven D. Harrison is also affectionately known to his friends and family by the nickname, Pudge. He is a dedicated family man, business owner, veteran, entrepreneur, philanthropist and exercise enthusiast. He is lucky to be married to his soul mate, Jen, and has three wonderful daughters, two grandsons and twin granddaughters. Steven is purpose driven. He truly believes that without purpose too much time is wasted and time is our most valuable asset.

Steven’s first passion is his family and rescue dogs! He loves spending as much time as possible with his girls, grandkids and loves being called “Papa” and their two Great Danes.

His second passion is people! It’s not uncommon for him to say, “I love everybody, but some people are just hard to like sometimes”. It’s because of this passion, Steven has started two medical non-profits which do work in remote third world countries like Nepal and the Philippines. He recently helped the Stand By to Fly Initiative non-profit with obtaining their 501(c)(3) status and sits on their board.  He has also helped numerous small businesses get started by offering his consulting services, pro-bono, to young entreprenuers and has helped capitalize them to get them off the ground.

His working hours are spent at the company he founded, Clear Path Financial Services, and for the last 22 years he has been helping people with their financial planning and investment goals.

Steven and Jen enjoy exercising and traveling the world, usually to warm

destinations where Steven can spend time deep sea scuba diving. He obtained his Advanced Open Water and Nitrox certifications to see the world from a different perspective.

When not travelling Steven and Jen spend their time at their lake home in Maine.Write a description for this tab and include information that will interest site visitors. Growing up, Andrew Geaghan’s parents always pushed him to never get “stuck” in the family business. After graduating from Brewer High School Andy attended UMaine where he received a BS in Ecology and Environmental Science and began working as a Physical and Environmental Science teacher at Brewer High School and part-time Youth Pastor while pursuing his MA in Theology from Bangor Theological Seminary. Upon receiving his MA he spent a few years in full-time church ministry while continually reflecting and grappling with the fact that his heart was and forever would be “stuck” in the family business.

With the love, support, and ultimately the wisdom of his wife, Lindsay, Andy came to understand that the family business was in his heart because it was the perfect place for him to combine his passions and live his truest life. Now, as the third generation owner of Geaghan’s Pub and Brewery, Andy’s passion for community and people continue to drive his vision and focus.

Andy’s first experience with Standby to Fly Initiative was in the winter of ‘23/’24 when the group reached out to discuss the feasibility of producing a beer to highlight the work they had been doing. From that meeting, Honor & Serve American Pale Ale was conceived. After working on this project for a few months, Andy was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism, work, and impact that SBTF brought to everything they did. He was greatly honored when asked to join the board and take a more active role with the group.

Andy most cherishes his time with his wife Linday and their two teenage children Isaac and Connemara. In his free time you could find him somewhere in the woods, on a pond fishing for bass, on the golf course, playing drums, cooking in his kitchen for family and friends, or pursuing some new challenging activity or adventure that piques his interest.
